We have already planned to take the images this week Thursday as we want to get it over and done with to be able to have more time in editing and working around the images.

Case Study 3

This is an image of how one of Drake's CD looks like, it is similar to how I would want my CD to look like as it has a simple background, black which make his name and the titles stand out even more and it uses two colours. The title looks very simple and attractive as the writing uses two different fonts, his name is in capital letters and in a understandable font for the audience to spot it easier. The colour gold suggests power and wealth so the title of the CD 'Take Care' may suggest that he is telling someone to take care, he is showing emotions, feelings. Because the fond used for the title is in a hand written font makes it seem as if he was the one who wrote it.

The front cover of this CD uses the same theme colours and the same font, also roughly the same size. The props he has used for this image are all gold, which then again implies wealth. The shot size is mid shot which let the audience see the props used, his clothing and his facial expression which is very important as it links to the CD title and the songs. As the gold connotes success and richness, the black connotes mystery which make the cover seem antique and different.
The ideas I have thought about using this case study are to use a shot size like the one used here, mid shot, but have both artist Drake and Rihanna. For the artist to have a facial expression and not look directly at the audience. For the Cd I was thinking of using black as the background and have Drake's name in capitals and in white, also in bold so it can stand out more and then Rihanna's name to be in a small font size and a different font, also in red as in the music video she is only featuring but because she is a well known artist we thought to use the colour red to connote love, romance and danger.

Case study 2

This is another front cover from one of Drake's albums, he has again used only 2 colours where he has used black as well as his main colour. His name is not included however the hands at the bottom of the CD cover shows that it is a Drake album as everyone recognises his symbol. The font used looks as if someone hand wrote it as the message that is used for the title is directed straight at the audience.
