This is how far we have been with our work, we try to have a team meeting twice every week to keep each other updated on our work, especially with our pitches.

CD cover idea.

This is a CD where we have analysed where certain things go such as the barcode, the record company's name, etc.

Team meeting : CD ideas

Today we have discussed on different ideas for out CD package. We had the opportunity to look at some magazine adverts where they were promoting the CD's. These adverts where found on XXL magazine which contributes to our genre conventions. By looking at these we have decided that for our advert we will be using either a mid shot of both actors or a long shot, the image will be in black and white with some cloudy faded effects. The colours we have chosen are red, black and white as our music video has these colours standing out. The colour red is used for the female actor as the song is about love and red conveys this. Black and white is used to make everything more attracting and more significant and the music video isn't a nice love song, its about a problem in a relationship.

Ideas for our CD work.

These are our ideas for our CD. This is also a plan for our pitch which we will be presenting to the class to share our ideas and receive some opinions and be able to extend our ideas and creativity.

This was our feedback

This is our feedback that we received from our class. We received positive and negative critiques which were very helpful as it helped us improve our music video and achieve the attraction of our target audience.

Too Good A2 Media Draft Video

This is our drafted video however the final video is much better as we made most of it in black and white which made it more attractive. We asked students from our class what they would prefer, if in colour or black and white. Most of them replied that black and white looked very fancy, different and unique. We asked members of the class as they are part of the age group of our target audience.

Today we have filled the big gaps we had which we thought we might have a challenge in however we managed to achieve it by using many different cutaways of establishing shots.

Extra editing.

This is a sheet where we were able to see when the editing room was available and when we were able to come and edit as class time wasn't enough. The big 'X' were when there was a class in the editing room. We had to write who was coming in to edit and the number of our hard drive as many people were using the same hard drive.

Today we have added some cutaway clips to fill in gaps. We still have several gaps which we will be filling in throughout our lessons.

Filming in TV studio.

Today we have recorded the female parts in the Tv studio. We have filmed shots that are close ups of me sitting down, mid shots of me standing and long shots of me standing as well. We have filmed around 4 different videos.

Editing.

Today we were able to edit some more as we have new footage which keeps on us track and helps us advance more day by day. We have added some male part now that we have some  but we still need to do more filming of both female and male together and alone.

This is an image of how far the editing is going, here we have already added the track so that while we edit we can make sure the lip sync fits with the song perfectly.
